Municipality Gotse Delchev, Bulgaria.

- card with size – 70x100sm. Territory of village Banichan with
area of 13.1 square kilometers, located in the valleys of the
majestic Pirin and Rhodope Mountains, which is crossed by two
rivers / Mesta and Tufcha / and two mineral springs.
Small and unique
land of nature, culture, traditions and rituals is this
"living map" of the village Banichan. Even only from
these words person is exited, want to seek, explore and
learn to know… My village. My proud and destiny.
Village, which we love… This is our village, we should
not forget, whatever happens… Because in our blood we
have blessed mission to search for the light of
antiquity and to give it to out children. Our ancestors
send us letters, to read them with our own eyes, to
accept it in our heart, to live them spirit in ...
This map, which is a path to the soul of everyone. It is
a modest landmark to remember that there is a reason to
be proud of this we are from Banichan. Through its
iconic symbolism alive the spirit of the village.
The map is our lesson in
patriotism for the preservation and perpetuation
fortitude to not disappearing ancestral memory and
originality .. It is an attempt to
revive the great work of enlightenment and priceless
spiritual message that it brings for generations in the
21st century.
The map is a culture product with social effect. As a
method of inclusion it combines knowledge and experience
in social integration lives of the small village on a
piece of cloth .. Like Geography it is an excellent and
original landmark for the outside world. By underlying
technical elements allows for a parallel ethno-reading
the living features of the settlement.
The map is a priceless gift for everyone. She appeared
just in time, in this very complex historical moment for
humanity, perhaps to remind us of the power of eternal
things. So it is a real history lesson and patriotism,
gathered in one ..
- The map connects us to the longest
and most difficult bird migration of 12,000 kilometers,
only one direction of the migratory route of the white
stork, which nests here since the village exists
- It recreates 23 symbols and 23
unique embroidery relics of Banichan’s woman suits
- They are reproduced from
approximately 900,000 stitches made up of about 5000 m
natural cotton thread, / as the distance from the
smallest village to the largest city municipal center

- The time
required to develop a six month
nonstop work of 3 people tailors (ages '11, '50
and '55).
For that this map ‘’talk’’ and transferred you to
another, more beautiful would of harmony, kindness,
understanding and dignity. Looking in it, in front of us
enliven the brightest moments of the history and
lifestyle of the village and the municipality of Gotse
Delchev, which should be proud and love because they
are reminiscent of the deep root of people's values as a
message to all of us.
Already in the project proposal was set symbolic and
thematic link between the real physical and embroidered
map as a kind of cultural contribution to the
International Year of the map 2015- 16 years. Therefore
this project product is an allegory to the social
integration to convergence through awareness and
education through the symbols on the map, such as
educational resources on cultural heritage in the
present.
